Quillback Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 A really nice day to be out on the water. Caught 14 bass, one smallie and one largemouth that were around the 15" mark, and the rest were pretty much all 12-14" spots. Had the yips today, lost a couple of nice bass in the 2-3 lb. range at the boat and had a couple of hard pullers that got off before I could see them. Sometimes the fish win. Fish were off the banks a bit in 5-15 FOW. Most of the fish came on Carolina rigged lizards and craws. Caught one on a jig, and one on a wobbler. Tried a Whopper Plopper for a while early, but they did not like it. Caught what I believe is a meanie, but sure looks like a spot in the pic. He was darker than he looks. dan hufferd, Dan the fisherman, Blll and 2 others 5
Blll Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Out today too. Several striper guides around the islands. I joined them for one pass. Marked plenty of fish but no luck for me. After an hour the guides were all gone. Spent several hours in Ventris. WT 62-64. Caught about 12 bass with only 1 keeper. Out from banks in 10-15 fow. All on ned. Several small crappies and bream too. Nice day. Lance34 and Quillback 2
Stump bumper Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I was out for a few hours also, caught 3 big shad around 10inches, put them behind the boat around Ventris. Right about sunset the first one got hit and the knot failed and took the hook. 2nd on was 15lb striper made it in the boat, 3rd one hit while I was playing the second one and the line wrapped the engine cover and broke off 20lb test. Big gizzards were up shallow around the Islands. Lance34, chi0082 and Dan the fisherman 3

Members Jack Perdew Posted April 24, 2016 Members Posted April 24, 2016 Sorry to hear you had trouble Keep in mind that insurance will try to put a new unit on and charge betterment based on the year of the motor. Normal 60 to 80% you will be better off on A used as no betterment would apply
Sore Thumbs Posted April 27, 2016 Posted April 27, 2016 Buddy of mine tears them up on a fluke this time of year in Indian creek. Glimmer blue and white.
