We both caught a limit of walleye yesterday. Been a while since that happened. I thought Ralph was going to cry every time he caught a legal one after that and had to throw it back.

Not counting shorts we probably had another 4 or 5 that were legal. Nothing really big but 16' to 20".

Still coming up short on crappie. Only had 12 keepers, lots of shorts.

We also caught right at a limit of channel. I've caught them before on jigs but not that many.

And Ralph was honed on on the drum he had 6.

It was a good day and not one cut us off or jumped in between us and the bank!

Water temp was 67* up around high point.

What is it about drum? One day I am the drum catcher and another day my wife is. Seems like only one of us catches them on a trip out.

those drum are a hoot to catch but sure a disappointment when you think you've got a big walleye.

We were flipping jigs towards the bank and most everything come out of water 4' to 6'.

Only 1 crappie had eggs the males were all still loaded.  Sure seems like they should have all ready been making beds by now but we've not seen one unless they're heading to where they've been bedding the last few years when the water was lower.

It's bee an rough year for us on the catching part and this is the second trip that we've done well on the walleye.

Wow! I can't tell you how much I hate you!! I'm kidding. I cannot get on any crappie or walleye!! You've got em dialed in though. I'm no walleye fisherman but I've always been able to catch a few crappie. Not this year though. Again great job!!
