brittsnbirds Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Enjoyed my time last week at BSSP. Didn't know it was free fishing for kids but that didn't pose a problem. Biggest problem was trying to negotiate the "new" stream after all the flooding this past winter/spring. Pretty bad when you can walk to the far side of the bank at the island (that isn't there). As well as walk all the way to the dam at the long gone stripping hole. The gravel backfill is really bad and will only get worse. Anyone have any insight about what the plans are to dredge if there are any? This stream is in really bad shape from arch bridge up to spring.
snagged in outlet 3 Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 I believe the stream has been dredged in the past.
Old plug Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 IT will fil in itself I would believe. God only knows how much gravel has been dredged out of of the Gracois Mills area of Gravois Creek on the Gravois Arm of LOZ over the years. IT just fills back in again
NoLuck Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 It was originally discussed early in the year that they would dredge parts of the stream. Somewhere along the way they decided to wait till after this years season to do it this coming winter.
brittsnbirds Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 I remember someone mentioned that the "dredges" or company they use was booked throughout the winter into spring. Hopefully the DNC was able to get on to their calendar.
