Hunter91
Had some friends come in from STL for their annual fishing trip with me. Friday we caught 10 keeper crappie between 10.5-13 inches in 6-8fow on jigs blue/sliver were the best. Also had a couple of keeper eyes as we were throwing these jigs also in the same depth and a couple of whites. Only caught about half a dozen short crappie and about the same on short eyes. I thought Saturday would be tough but when we could stay out of the brutal wind Saturday morning we did ok catching another 10 keeper crappie mostly 11-13inchers, 3 keeper eyes to 17.5 inches, a couple more whites and three large bluegill. We caught these with a variety of methods (jigs, trolling and bottom bouncing spinners). The crappie were a little deeper 8-10 feet. The eyes were in 15-18 feet. Caught a bunch more short eyes but not very many short crappie this time. dan hufferd, Kramr, zarraspook and 1 other
