moguy1973 Posted June 2, 2016 Posted June 2, 2016 Anyone been to Kincaid lately? We are heading down on Saturday and were wondering what the lake condition is looking like. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
shrapnel Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Kinkaid is in awesome shape, not as clear as usual for this time of year from lightly stained green lower end to pretty dirty in the upper end...something for everyone. Fishing has been phenomenal all spring it has taken well over 20lbs to win most bass tourneys.
moguy1973 Posted June 4, 2016 Author Posted June 4, 2016 Yeah, we didn't make it down there with the thunderstorms in the forecast. Maybe next weekend. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Ham Posted June 4, 2016 Posted June 4, 2016 Its on my list of places to get to. Maybe I can get troutgnat to show me the ropes there next year. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
moguy1973 Posted July 17, 2016 Author Posted July 17, 2016 Finally made it to Kincaid today with my wife and daughter. It really is a gem in souhern Illinois. Found 5' water clarity near the dam. Much more stained in the upper arms. Lots of boats though. Reminded me of a mini LOZ. Not sure if they enforce the 50 mph speed limit. Mine does 35 and some boats passed me like I was standing still. The no wake arm near Paul Ice ramp was nice though. Caught half a dozen bass inbetween helping my daughter fish and getting my wife untangled from the trees. Nothing to write home about. Gorgeous lake. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
