Moswimb8slinger Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 These little guys definitely put up a great fight on "lighter" gear. Their initial head shakes are vicious. navery, crappie_adams83, BilletHead and 3 others 6
BilletHead Posted June 25, 2016 Posted June 25, 2016 Thanks Richy, I got my first that weighed eight pounds on my fly rod a few weeks back. What a rush! This makes me want to go again, BilletHead "We have met the enemy and it is us", Pogo If you compete with your fellow anglers, you become their competitor, If you help them you become their friend" Lefty Kreh " Never display your knowledge, you only share it" Lefty Kreh "Eat more bass and there will be more room for walleye to grow!" Moswimb8slinger Posted June 25, 2016 Author Posted June 25, 2016 The first one I caught this year (a 7 pounder) felt like a tail hooked carp as hard as it was shaking its head, then it changed it up and just pulled. I don't mind catching them. I'm really glad to bigger ones aren't as aggressive, they would literally shake the rod out of your hands, if a 4 ft striper could shake like the littles do.
