I haven't made a fishing report in forever.

I went out early and found zero top water bass. I switched to a Ned and caught 10 or 11 sitting on a flat in 25 feet of water and throwing to 12 feet of water. I tried two bluff end points and caught another 4 or 5. All were small and the best one did not measure. I decided to try the new rig trolling. I learned a number of things. For example, a boat with a wheel is more awkward than a tiller boat for trolling. Example two: MinnKota makes their drift socks with cheap hook eyes.

Regardless, I enjoyed the first trip out and managed to catch one walleye at 20 feet deep over 30 feet of water at one of the community holes.

Water temp was 85 and by noon it was not safe between Point 25 and Holiday Island.
