Anyone wanting to help Vinsott recover some tackle, you can stop by Hook, Line and Sinker in Rogers and purchase a gift card in his name. It is listed under Chris Sottilaro (Vinsott is his forum name). They have a file for his gift cards that they will give to him. If you want to mail it, you can mail check made out to Hook, Line and Sinker to 98 W. Locust st, Rogers Ar 72756, memo it is for Chris Sottilaro and they will apply it to his gift card account. I did not ask but you may be able to call and put on credit/debit card as well. As most of us would be, Vinsott was reluctant to accept help, however he is very appreciative that people would help a stranger. He did not want checks made out to him because he wanted everyone to be assured that he was spending it on what it was given for, tackle.  Thanks to all who are helping and for those who cannot at this time, there will always be opportunity in the future to help other people.

Good for you, Robert. I met vinsott soon after he moved here from Florida. He rented a duplex then purchased that boat slip before he bought his boat. Talk about priorities!  Since he purchased his fishing pontoon, he's given great effort to conquer Beaver Lake and he shares what he's learned.

I worked with Chris for a year or so before he moved on to greener pastures.  Like most people who work for our company, Chris was there to share his passion for the outdoors.

We called him Undercover Boss. With his work ethic, intelligence, and desire to share knowledge and make sales...he could run the company. But he was there earning a low wage and having fun. I'm proud to say the Undercover Boss is a good friend of mine. I'll donate one of my Striper rods and a 6500c.

Great!!! Never thought of donations of tackle and rod/reels. Another great idea that hook, line and sinker would hold for him or can be delivered in person if you know Vinsott.

Generosity is an unseen law. It is like gravity, it is there but can't be seen. Generosity has a return to it for the person who operates in it. I wish I had learned it when I was young. The return is not always seen but if you watch for it you can see it. Motives are important however. The motive is compassion for the person of interest. I know I'm preaching now so I will stop.

Commendable effort, Robert. Cash is hard due to a layoff situation but I'll be dropping off a lure package for Chris in the next couple of days at HLS. OAF is a great place to hang out.
