dan hufferd Posted July 22, 2016 Author Posted July 22, 2016 I have a friend on you tube who is encouraging me to get some footage of my technique. I was showing my nephews how to cast the spoon, I like it better than just vertical due to the area that I can cover. 3 guys in a boat working together can cover a 50 yrd + fan shaped area with out moving the boat. The hook up is a blast ! Johnsfolly 1

We do this with waterfowl, why not with certain species of fish to promote the spawn or at least promote some monsters to grow in the lake. I think the length limit of 15 is appropriate though. If I can weigh in. My suggestion is a slot limit. MDC does it on smaller lakes with bass. Keep the eaters and toss the big ones back. This allows you to keep the size that is reasonable to clean and catch larger fish. The strip pit I fish here in Columbia has a 12"-15" slot on bass and a majority of the trips I catch four or five 16" to 18" fish that I throw back and still catch seven or eight 11" fish to eat. Sorry bass people. Sometimes I fish because I'm hungry and not for fun. Johnsfolly and dan hufferd 2
Unimog Posted July 24, 2016 Posted July 24, 2016 Very cool Dan. I'll be coming down next Saturday through Tuesday, I may have to fish for some of those toothy fish. dan hufferd 1
