going in a few days, is there a solid thermacline and how deep. will be fishing from roarks to the dam

About 20 feet I think.

went Monday out of state park . thermocline was broken down around 35 feet where it existed. show quite a bunch of shad fish on them but didn't seem to eager to bite.

thx the way they are pulling water my guess was  it would not be real solid

Went out yesterday thermocline is around 30ft. Lake level continues to drop daily. Fishing is sloow not to mention very hot. caught a bunch of smaller bass and brother-in-law caught a nice 2.2 # white bass and a 18 eye. All in 26-28 f.o.w. with BB.

Was out today.  Did not see much of a thermocline.  Caught a couple of eyes, lots of channel cats, bass, but the best catch of the day was a 10.5" bluegill.  It had a fillet not much smaller than a 16" eye that we cleaned.

I wish that size of bluegill was more common I'd rather eat them instead of crappie.
