Quillback Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Last week I picked up a couple of smallies back in Indian Creek, only time I have been on Beaver in a couple of months, so that is all I have as far as experience there this summer. If you work the points and pockets in Indian creek with jigs you'll get a few bites, I would target the 5-20 foot deep zone. Could be a few in the bigger coves, but I did not have time to check them out last week. Dan the fisherman 1

Does any one have n e good ideas or direction where to start fishing. I don't need specifics but just a general direction would be appreciated.. Thanks Howdy Dan, good to hear that you're getting back on the water. I was trying main lake points last week between fords and rambo. Just randomly throwin without much success. I was told to graph for cover and target that. Not sure if that's helpful or just rambling on my part. Dan the fisherman 1
Blll Posted July 28, 2016 Posted July 28, 2016 Good you're back Dan. I've been out of action myself for over a month. After a great 10 day vacation with the grandkids, came back to find my rods had been stolen from our slip. While dealing with that, the boat wound up sitting for 5 weeks without running. You guessed it, now it won't start. Having the carbs rebuilt and hoping for a return to the water this weekend. It does not seem like many are fishing or posting. Notes from last year say a drop-shot on points should get bit.

I don't have my boat on the water and so far I haven't delt with n e thing stolen(thank god) but I'm with ya on the vacation deal. I've been fishing Maine waters the last 4 weeks and have been busy with that. I'm glad to be back home but hate to hear that all this stuff is being stolen. I really hate thieves. ? Bg193ch 1

Members Bg193ch Posted July 29, 2016 Members Posted July 29, 2016 Sorry to hear about your equipment Dan. The worst part is that it was probably anglers who noticed the equipment while fishing around your slip. Suckers!

Based upon what I have found, go deep - 25 to 50 feet. Dan the fisherman 1
Members oodlesiggy Posted August 6, 2016 Members Posted August 6, 2016 Caught a few smallies, one nice 17in. Hit hybrids and a couple small stripers early at dawn on point 2 and a few small walleye after dark under a green light. All on binks. Hybrids I was sitting in 20ft casting deep off the point. Walleye were caught vertical jigging in 20ft under the light. Dan the fisherman 1
