Put in at 6:00 a.m. and started with topwater.  Caught 6, with 3 on a whopper plopper and 3 on a Spook jr.  After the sun came up we went to the Ned.  Green pumpkin and Green Pumpkin orange were the 2 colors we used.  Caught 18 on the Ned.  Around mid-day we tried using Binks 1/4 ounce spoons around a main lake point. (Thanks Dan Hufferd) Ended up catching 5 white bass and a drum.  Not one of the fish today was a keeper.  Caught all species of bass (largemouth, kentucky, and smallmouth) but mostly smallmouth.  Caught most of them in 8 to 15 feet of water around main lake points.  This was my first time out in over 2 months.  As the day wore on, the bite got tougher and tougher.  Got off the water around 3:00 p.m.

Thanks for the report.  That is way better than I've been doing lately.  This weather has me wanting to be on the water but I'm having issues with my back and couldn't possibly get up and down in the boat.

Skeet,

I think I speak for several who read this site when I say that we have some concern for you. After all you stated that you had not been fishing in awhile. We also read where you use the Ned Rig a lot. We are hoping that since you used those big, heavy Whopper Ploppers and the Spook JR. instead of the Ned Rig that you have not strained some arm or lower back muscles and might cause yourself to be out of commission for some time. Remember better fishing is close so don't get out of "Casting Shape". Maybe you could stand on a picnic table in the back yard and get in some flipping and casting practice !!!!!!!!!!!

Just kidding..................... really glad you got to go.................... keep up the reports.

I caught them yesterday on a short outing in the same spots only using a Carolina rigged lizard and a wobble head jig. Getting ready to go out and see what happens today. I was between the dam and hawker point.
