merc1997 Bo Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 the keeper plus bass are still 25 to 30 feet deep, at least down stream. linda had plenty of fun catching bass. we started catching them before dark and left them biting around 2:30. we did catch a few on the 1 oz. SpinJig, but the rest were all caught on the Elite Series 3/4 GrassJig. We used two colors - brown and blue and green perch, with blue trailers. we snapped a couple of pics before dark, but after dark, the wind was way too bad to take a pic without being a 1/4 mile from where you were. we ended up with way over a dozen keepers. several bass in the 3 lb. class, but nothing that would hit 4 lb. flatter terrain with a roll off seemed to be where we found most of our bass. we also had a very good mixture of lmg, k's, and brownies. the better brownies were in the 25 to 30 ft. range also. using your electronics is important. we did not find bass just anywhere and had to do some looking around to find an area that had plenty of bait fish the pics were before dark to prove that I can catch bass in the daytime. also shot a close up of the GrassJig. bo abkeenan, SplitG2, magicwormman and 1 other 4
SplitG2 Posted August 20, 2016 Posted August 20, 2016 Thanks Bo. What's the trick with the line tie to the eyelet on the grass jig?...or am I seeing things?
