nhornback Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 My wife and i are spending a week at mill creek next week, and I haven't been on table rock since spring (I became a river rat all summer on the James ). Plan on mainly fishing the first couple and last couple hours of daylight with swim and lunch breaks in between Was hopeful someone could give me some game-planning thoughts on where to target topwater bites at dawn and dusk...? Any and all info is so appreciated! Nick
Quillback Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 From what I have seen on the upper end of the lake, there are some shallow large mouth that might bite a top water. You've got to commit to it and work for those shallow fish. You might find some schoolers out in deep water, maybe off the end of docks that are over deep water. magicwormman 1
nhornback Posted August 29, 2016 Author Posted August 29, 2016 Thanks quillback, I'll admit I'm a sucker for the shallow bite, which is why I spend summers yakking the James river for smallies. I'll let ya know if I find any! Nick
