yaknar Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 I got out on the river this weekend. Finally it didn't rain the days before I went. The river level was down and where I like it, when you have to drag you kayak, and cloudy most of the float. I didn't catch anything big but I did start out by catching one before I even got in the kayak. Took pictures of a few of the different ones. I caught mostly smallmouth and goggle-eyes, released them all. The reel speed was one crank faster than a dead stop. And I have a new favorite lure, a suspending crankbait, I had never used one, suspending. The main reason for the post, is that there is a tree all the way across the river up-stream from Frazier Bridge. No problem getting around it. I haven't been down this stretch in a while so it may have been there for a while. Great day on the river.....can't wait to get out again..... Daryk Campbell Sr, Johnsfolly, Flysmallie and 2 others 5
