I got out this morning from 830 to 11.  I tried a couple of channel swings with nothing.  I knew I didn't have much time so I started to beat a bluff wall with a Sammy. I ended up with 2 LMB for the morning..... Later this afternoon after the rain shower I got back out at 545 and fished till dark.  I fished 2 points before I started marking packs of fish.  I ended up with 7 big whites, 3 striper (small 15in) and 2 spots. They were all caught in the in 40 feet of water and were cruising in about 25 feet. The afternoon fish were all caught on a spoon.   Water temp was about 83-82.  There was also a lot of floating debris from the rains earlier. So be careful out there if u go tomorrow. I fished MN to HSB.

Quill, there's definitely some good fishing to be had with the lower water temps. I can't wait till the water drops to the mid 70s.

Your right Dan..these cooler nights are gonna make it real good real quick!!  I'm ready..I have had enough night fishing for the year.

I'm with you, bring it on!

Number of pleasure boats out there should start dropping off once Labor Day is over.  It's all good.

Fishing has really improved lately.  Ive seen LMB and spots schooling here and there.  I've caught a few nice ones too.  I've been catching a lot of whites lately.  I don't mind.  I'm an opportunistic fisher man and will go for whatever lol. But looks like there's some cooler weather coming soon.  Very excited for that.

Dan, you are gettin it done!  Ain't nothing like time on the water. No rain this wkd and temps in the low 80's=good days.  Even better at night. I'm gonna try throwing the spinnerbait Friday night and see if I can catch some of Mike Jones' left overs!
