Lance34 Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Got out from 11-3 yesterday. Water temp 81-84 during that time. Most of everything I caught was in 15 fow around flats in the river. Pretty much again a repeat of last week. 5-8 short fish to one keeper. Their EVERYWHERE!! Deep, shallow, it don't matter! Just crazy when those little dudes hit the crank... Sometime the reel drag will make a snap sound and the rod slings back quick. Dang near knock my rod out of the holder twice. Ended with five in the box. Seeing the forecast. Going to start preparing my rigging junk this week. Also built up several stake beds out of pallets that I need to drop, so going to try and do that as well next trip. Pic below. Fish on and God bless ! dan hufferd, Daryk Campbell Sr, Quillback and 3 others 6
Blll Posted September 24, 2016 Posted September 24, 2016 Lance...gulp...you're my hero. Anyway, last 3 trips I've dragged bandits in 15-20 fow and caught plenty of fish but zero crappies and only 1 wb. I guess they are just farther south than I've been going. Also enjoyed some great food at the BBB yesterday. Tourney this morning so I'm in the yard. Anybody scoring crappies up toward Rocky Branch? Lance34 1

What I hear from others this year is that quality is better up your direction but numbers are low.
