Big M area 10/3

My struggles continue, caught 5 bass today.  Got one LM that was 3 lbs. on a swim jig and one that was about 15" that ate the swim jig also.  Got 3 on a size 90 Whopper Plopper, all shorts.  Probably has at least another 1/2 dozen try and grab the Plppper, but they seemed pretty uncoordinated this morning and had issues grabbing the lure.  Swings and misses. 

Monarch butterfly migration is going on, noticed some flying south today.  Pretty amazing that they can flutter along like that and make it to Mexico for the winter.

Quite a few predator type birds around, eagles, red tails, and an osprey or two. 

Water temp was 75-76.

I was down by point 23 this afternoon water temp was 76-77.....i put in at shell knob around 11:30...did manage 1 keeper and had several following it on coleslaw flutter spoon..was basically out trying to figure out my new Helix and how to decipher what i was looking at on screen....saw balls of bait fish  in 15- 40 fow seems fish was around them but no takers..

You had a good day Quillback, I have been thinking of the Monarchs oddly enough. Witnessing events like the migration are things that a lot of people never see, they surely aren't as profound as when we were kids. Every passing day we wake and can enjoy the outdoors is a blessing. On second thought you had a great day!! Thanks for the report.

I made a right out of Big M instead of going left so I never made it down to the Pt. 23 area.
