oneshot Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 Went to the river and caught two Redhorse and two Hog Mollies. Was wondering with they still bite good all Winter? oneshot
fishinwrench Posted November 2, 2016 Posted November 2, 2016 They seem to still hang out in the same slow shallow stretches during the Winter. I assume they still eat. If you could get up on a high bank I don't see why you couldn't sight fish them. Cast above and past them, then drag it to a position directly in front of him....then wait for him to mosey up and take a bite.
oneshot Posted November 2, 2016 Author Posted November 2, 2016 Well I really want to get below a riffle, everything hangs out there but it requires taking my Boat. If not I'll just do like I have been fishing by the Parking Lot. What is funny yesterday I was fishing with 6-12 inch Leader and wasn't catching squat. Thought what is wrong? Went back to putting on Egg Sinker with small Split Shot couple inches up so the worm was on the bottom. Started catching fish. oneshot
