Members Jack Perdew Posted November 4, 2016 Members Posted November 4, 2016 Any of you striper pros tried buzz bait for top water stripers ? I'm on vacation this week and looking to try some thing new. What do you think?
Champ188 Posted November 4, 2016 Posted November 4, 2016 If you're gonna do that, I think I'd throw a Whopper Plopper. You've got more/better hooks.
Dan the fisherman Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 I think if the stripers r in full thrashing mode they'll hit n e thing. But for scattered fish I love a walking types of bait. That's just my opinion though.
Members Jack Perdew Posted November 5, 2016 Author Members Posted November 5, 2016 Thanks Champ & Dan I think you're both right. I just hate it when they look at the bait, follow it all the way to the boat only to leave it. I was think something worked faster may trigger strike ! If all other fails you can always call them up with an antique phone lol
Mike jones Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Personally, I want a bait I can throw a mile what a big boy blows up! A buzz bait would be pretty hard to get a accurate, long cast IMO. Dan the fisherman and Champ188 2
Quillback Posted November 5, 2016 Posted November 5, 2016 Something that walks and spits, and you can throw a country mile is an Evergreen Shower Blows. Dan the fisherman 1

Mike jones Posted November 6, 2016 Posted November 6, 2016 A friend of mine had a big striper straighten his hook on a buzzbait this week up by the sidewalk hole. I guess they will eat the buzzer!! Dan the fisherman and RyanG 2
