Only fished a few hours in the morning and again in late afternoon.  Came in during the rain(s) and stayed close. 

Marked lots of suspended fish but couldn't get them interested.  Worked topwater with some success but didn't pull any off vertical wood. All came dead shallow near small cover. No keepers.

Yep! know the feeling. 
The wife and I got out a few hours Sat.  Didn't cover a lot of water, we went to a few of my favorite spots for catching fish, but found out that the fish didn't think they were very good spots anymore!

fished out of big m all weekend and we had suprising luck...large mouth keepers off bluffs (due to fog) on finesse was our best pattern..son caught one over three great colors in fall fish
