Well I went down to Old Kinderhook yesterday and got to talk with Mark Weise for a bit, super nice guy. Also talked with Mike McClelland and he was super nice as well. Talked with a few of the other fisherman as well. In the auction to pick anglers it was $3100 for top pick (WOW) and that pick was none other than Marcus Sykora. It looks like the right pick for $900 I believe it was (so for) was Roger Fitzpatrick / Denise Dill with 21.69. Golf round today and back to fishing Friday which looks to be a much better fishing day.

I was surprised at some of the low weights. The local boys definitely did better than the national/regional guys

I always thought it would be fun to fish this.  I could possibly scrape up the $1000 to enter as an amatuer for 3 days for fun and fishing with the LOZ hammers.  Then I hear about the money spent at the auction....too rich for me. I wonder what that money goes towards.

Yes it is pricey to fish and I believe most if not all monies raised thru auction goes toward payouts. There were 25 boats and they paid 7 places and 2 big bass. $1,000 for amateur BB and a team BB. So good payouts for only 25 boats. You did not have to bid in auction, whomever was left after auction and the silent auction were paired up in a drawing I believe. And anyone of the pro anglers were more than capable to take a check.
