Members Ken1949 Posted December 15, 2016 Members Posted December 15, 2016 Anyone had any experience fishing with the Cotton Cordell Pencil Popper? It has been around for several years and is used primarily for stripers. I have not thrown one, but have read that they can also be effective for largemouth.
timinmo Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I can not claim any experience, I know they fish them in some of the eastern lakes that have a population of blue back herring. I bought a couple thinking they might be an option at times. I will be interested in other peoples experience.
kjackson Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 A Beaver guide uses them for stripers on occasion...
fishinwrench Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 I played with one of those once upon a time. I wasn't impressed with the action that much but I was impressed by how far I could cast it. That fat rear-end causes it to cast like a rocket, which is probably why the striper fishermen like it.
MOsmallies Posted December 15, 2016 Posted December 15, 2016 Check these out... Designed more for bass and they are SWEET! One of my favorite topwater baits. 3 sizes... Cast extremely well, walk and spit like crazy. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Evergreen_SB_Topwater_Plug/descpage-EGSBS.html dtrs5kprs 1
