I'm the same way. I am a power fisherman. Cranks and jigs.  I love dirty water  and hate clear water.  So the muddier the better for my style.  I only bass fish so i have no input of how it affects other species.  But shallow bass muddy water is where I've caught my best fish on this lake. You,will rarely see me farther north than prairie creek . I just flat suck in the clear stuff.

I gotta nice steady hard rain at my house tonight. Not enough to create mudlines, but a nice soaking rain like we need.

I used to fish a bunch with cranks and spinners, with great success, but have gotten away from that in the last 3yrs.  The only thing I can atrubite it to is my self teaching of deep water fishing.  Once I started to learn that, I've kinda been stuck trying to refine it ( yes it takes me that long to learn lol).  But I definitely need to  utilize all the cranks and spinner baits that I have now.  Bought them for a good reason..... they worked!!

I saw good stained runoff flowing around Rogers today. Hopefully we start getting weekly rains. I like the stain better.

It's been raining pretty steady for the past few hours. It's not a flood rain, but a nice soaker. We really needed it.

I ran the boat today & looked for fish. I only had 2hrs to burn, but I think I've got a big school of crappie or white bass located near point 12. They were near the bottom of the main channel in 30-35ft. There's motor wash on the left, the fish on the right look good.
