Anytime on the water with a kid is a great time. My daughter still talks about trips from 10 years ago, when we go she will bring up fishing spot and trips that I myself have forgotten have forgotten about. 

Kids will never forget those days and as we get older they will refresh are minds to those memories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Makes us proud that we take the time to spend we them and teach them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fishing with my kiddos are my best trips.  Things can get a little crazy like cat herding, and I rarely ever get a line in the water myself, but I wouldn't trade it for anything.  I love seeing kiddo's not afraid to hold their own fish either.  My oldest is starting to clean her own trout at 11 and it makes me a proud dad.

Cleaning the fish? I need to teach her to do that !! I hate that part! LOL

Yeah, she's pretty good at trout.  My other younger 2 still want nothing to do with em LOL.  At least I got one tomboy out of my 3 girls
