The boy and I went up the neosho yesterday....it was about 75 out.  we were in sight of the gravel road bridge almost all day.  It was pretty slow...caught some jigging...then switched to trolling shad raps late and picked up a few more.

I heard at the ramp that spring river was better...kind of wish we would have tried it but I was trying to stay out of the wind.

lots of boats out.  I saw 2 guys in bass boats that were racing above mudeaters...was pretty crazy...the one in the lead almost went airborne coming around the bend

   Thanks for the report Wily,

Was it white bass you were chasing? Looking at getting out more soon.

Yes sir.  We used swimming minnows and straight tails on 1/8 oz jig heads and trolled the shad raps.

Lots of people on the weekends but if you've fished taneycomo...boat traffic is similar

     Thank you Mr. Wily,

Know the boat traffic down that way. Spent a few trips out of highway 10 ramp last chasing whites on the Spring river. Excited about some repeat performances this season.

I heard better fishing in spring river wasn't that high up...that it was much closer to twin bridges...Where it first kind of necks down into the river...just a heads up if you're able to go

You bet thanks Wily. Figured it will still be some time for the real run to begin. Guess they are gathering for a push some time. You just got my anticipation up a few notches. Funny your post came this evening just a couple hours after a friend and I had been talking about the rivers over there :) .

I'm thinking the run will be early this year since the temps are already pushing 50.  What do you guys think?  I also heard of some good crappie reports that are coming from the Spring as well.

That was my thought as well.  I plan to try it out early next week since we should have some rain and a string of warm days in a row.
