Jbrant Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Anybody know of a place to put in on the west side of the Gravois off 5 Hwy. Tried calling the Harbor Marina a couple times but haven't got anyone. Didn't know if Coconuts had a ramp and they aren't open I don't think. Would prefer to put on somewhere lower the the Gravous Mills ramp. Any suggestions?
Jmontgo1246 Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Shawnee bend ramp...its about 3-4 miles to the mouth of the gravois...closest one i know of
WeekendWarrior Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Either gravois mills or Coffman ramps as for public in gravois that I know of, might be a private ramp but I don't know of it, wrench might. That is his neck of the woods.
Jbrant Posted February 17, 2017 Author Posted February 17, 2017 Gravois Mills is by far the closest ramp for me... where we normally put in to fish the Gravois and parts of the North Shore. Put in at Coffman on occasion and Shawnee Bend as well... but those are little bit further drive. Was hoping to find something in the mid Gravois on the west side... not many marinas up there though. Haven't checked water level yet to see what Gravois Mills ramp would be like.
WeekendWarrior Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Been pulling water last night and today, was around 655.20 earlier. I guess their finally going down to 654.
fishinwrench Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 You're OK at anything above 654.0 at Gravois access. Below 654 you have to take it real slow and pick your path or you'll drop a trailer tire off the edge. At 656 you can still get in/out at the old McCormick's Marine (lk rd. 5-18) in the backend of Soap cr. (costs 5.00) The Harbour (off P rd.) is still good. It's on a channel bank. Back end of Soap cr. and there probably won't be anyone there wanting money. All the others (besides Coffman) are high and dry now. Millstone (off O rd. outside of Laurie) is still good. Puts you right at the mouth of the Gravois. I think they charge 5.00 but not sure. Jbrant 1
WHARFRAT Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Good Luck, it's really nice out there! @lozcrappie
fishinwrench Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Sounds like the Wiggle Wart bite has begun.
buckcreekmike Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 For $5 you can launch at Millstone which is about the 7.5 mile marker of the main lake, about a half mile or less up from the mouth of Gravois. Kind of a cluster-f*** trying to maneuver down the ramp, but I always put in and out there.
