Blll Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Was out Wednesday and again today. Stayed close to home, around islands. wt today hit 51 around 1pm. Both days just wanted to cast. Caught a handful of spots both days up to 15" on ned. Lost a bigger one on a perfect 10 backflip. All on bluff walls or ledge rock. all fish came in close proximity to laydowns or the middle of standing trees. Nothing on gravel or chunk banks. Beautiful today with less wind. Quite a few boats with a mix of trollers & casters. Birds about gone around bridge. Quillback, Lance34, dtrs5kprs and 1 other 4
Dan the fisherman Posted February 19, 2017 Posted February 19, 2017 Good deal Bill. I still haven't thrown the ned rig. I've even been directed by a couple of OAF members how and what kind of jig heads to use. Just haven't had the opportunity or need to I guess. I also got out this morning from 7-930am. Did get 2 tanker whites a 22inch striper and a 17 or 18 inch LMB. The wind was dead still when I was out. I kinda feel that I should of been out earlier today cuz my bite shut down about 9. With the sun bright and dead still wind they would hit after then. I ended up leaving early to take the boys trout fishing. They've been askin all week. How could I tell an 8 and 6 year old no to that lol. Thanks for the report Bill. I'll have to try this ned rig u speak of one day. Blll, Lance34 and Quillback 3
