I drove by hickory creek twice today and people were fishing and keeping trout and trout season hasn't started yet.  Does Newton County have a game warden? In the past I have fished the creek and never have seen anyone checked out.

Were they within the area limits, 86 to Shoal creek?  I'm not sure if the regulations apply if they aren't in that area?

If you think they are violating this you should call 1-800-392-1111 which is a 24-hotline for Operation Game Thief.

Jarid Wilkinson is our county agent.  417-291-7819   Give him a call next time you see it happening or you could do like I do and take a picture of them and the vehicle if possible and email it to Rick Horton or just about anyone in the office over in Neosho and they will figure it out.

I think so, but that was about a month ago I was fishing it.  You never know if there are any left over or not at this point!   I'm sure there are a few here and there however.
