Hello guys, I'm making another trip up and thought I'd see what was going on as far as fishing. I'll be reporting back after the weekend and will be happy to share how I did.

Two questions: I usually put in at a private ramp on Y road near Linn Creek that's on the main lake but worried that it's too low to do that this time. Is there a nearby public ramp that I can use that is safe? Otherwise I'll probably put in at the state park.

Second: I've bass fished Beaver and Norfork recently and cranks and jerkbaits have produced. I assume they will work at LOZ. Any other obvious patterns to look for?

Thanks fellas. I'll be in an alum grey Ranger/Yamaha and with my yellow lab. Say hi if you are out.

I have never used ramp in back of Linn creek but lake is down 5 foot so any of the private ramps I would be leary of. Like wharfrat said larry Gale if you want to fish Niangua or PB2 for Glaize. I have not been out but a few hours for a couple days recently and have not tore them up but yes catching some up pretty shallow on stickbaits and some corners of docks as well. A-rig will work as well as wiggle warts. Water temp was around 48 a couple days ago. If the storm we had last night dirtied up the water might try slow rolling a thumper spinnerbait. Good luck, supposed to be nice this weekend and all the way thru next week.

Fished Beaver for years when I lived in Fayetteville, AR. LOZ is fishing alot like beaver and bull right now. Water not quite as clear as bull. stick bait over brush and jigs in the brush. LOZ has no standing trees like Bull and Beaver. All structure is man made or a dock.

Looks like we just hit 653.9 -_-

If I can get the boat off the trailer I plan to get out tomorrow for a bit myself.

Let's meet back here tomorrow night and compare notes.

Good job!   You whipped my butt.  I grabbed my neighbor and we got launched about 12:30.

I checked the flats (48.7°) and caught several shorts but it just wasn't happening.  Moved to some steeper banks near the flat and caught a 3lber right away slow rolling a Spinnerbait, then it was dink city with about a dozen 10-12 inchers along the same stretch of bank.  Made a move to a windy bank that usually holds a few and I blanked on the first pass with a Wiggle Wart, but my buddy caught a couple shorts on a jerkbait, so I made another pass slow rolling the Spinnerbait and picked up another solid one just under 3lbs.   I got sick of fighting the wind and ran to a calm steep bank at the edge of a large shallow flat and by then we had water that was right at 50°.   Another dozen shorts between us and one more keeper on the Spinnerbait there.  Moved back into the wind and I fumbled a 2+ pounder at the boat and caught a couple more dinks.   That was it for us.   I didn't even break 10lbs.

I am not nearly the fisherman as you guys, so I would be real content with catching 20 fish, keepers or not. Keep the reports coming, I'll be there in a week and a half.
