Fished from 2:00 - 5:00 this afternoon in the Cow Creek area. Caught 6 with one Spot that just made 15" and a beefy LM that went 18" and put a real nice bend in my 7' ML Varmint rod. The keeper Spot came on a ballhead jig with a Pearl Menace Grub fished on a deep, main-lake point. The rest came on a 1/8oz PBJ little guy. Very slow fishing inside the creek but it picked up nicely as I got out on a main-lake stretch of bank. Or, the fish just got a little more active the last hour. Water temps were 50.5 - 52.

I'm going to have to find somewhere else to launch. With the low water, the bottom end of the ramp at Cow Creek is very steep. I had to bounce from boat to truck several times to get loaded.

Felt awesome to get back on the water and I managed not to break anything today. Win-win!

Thanks James. Great to be here and looking forward to seeing you and Donna at the OAF shindig.

Thanks for the report, I was wondering if it was time for them to start chasing that Menace Grub.

Based on my results, you might want to keep wondering for a little while longer.

When do you get your boat back?

Might get it back next week, they had to order an axel.

Well, that stinks. I've got an open seat if you get the itch to get off the bank (and catch less fish).

I really appreciate the offer, but that end of the lake is just a bit too far for me to drive for a day trip.
