As a part of that discussion Zarraspook mentioned a web map by Navionics. I thought should mention an app folks might want to use.

I don't have GPS in my sonar. Navionics makes a phone app that is very cheap ($10. I think) that shows lake contours for lot of lakes including Stockton and allows you to mark spots and routes like a GPS on a sonar.

It works very well.

Yep, I use it.  It is a bit sketchy on Lake O (as are all topo mapping programs and paper maps).  There is alot of stuff it doesn't show, and in some cases it shows drastic details of things that don't even exist.   But it is still better than nothing.
