Theodosia trip 3/17-3/20

Thanks to everyone posting info for weekend warriors like myself.  I consume way more than I can contribute on this site and I'm sincerely thankful to those willing to share fishing tips and lake condition updates.

Me and a couple buddies will be staying at Turkey Creek Ranch that fri-mon.  Been 2 years since I've had the pleasure of fishing bull shoals. Really looking forward to this trip - 4 years ago we slammed the bass at the same time of year, similar low water.  Didn't catch anything over 3.5lbs, but lots of fish in the 2-2.5lb class.

ill try to post reports after our day is complete each eve.  Hopefully stories of at least some success.

Whackerbill Minnows

on bluffends, deeper points, transitions......same pattern for 35 years...love that area.

The longbilled Rogues,Rebel and the Arby Hanger (if they still make them) Huge bills. Weighted in some way to suspend.

Got on the water about 10am. Put in at theodosia ramp. Ran skinny water north of the bridge until about 2pm. Caught 2 short fish and one sqeeker 15". Fished bluffs the rest of the day - caught a 2lber and 6 more short fish. All our bites came in 10fow or less. Tube and wacky rigged ocho caught all but 1 fish - that 1 was on a Texas rigged powerworm.

Didn't see a ton of shad activity on the graph, but I rarely was in water deeper than 20feet.  Hoping for a little more wind tom and maybe a crank or spinner bite.  Will post a report tom after we finish up.
