trythisonemv Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 These are what I caught them on. Craft fur clousers that I weight with lead and bead chain eyes. 6lbstest 1
Mofloatjunkie Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 I was throwing purple minnows, white, chattruese, orange grubs, small crank, and a small spoon. Basically everything I could think of. The agent was a man in his 40s or 50s. Real nice guy. I have Thursday off and I'm debating going back or trying something else. trythisonemv 1
Members ehertz Posted April 12, 2017 Members Posted April 12, 2017 The fish are taking chartreuse and white as of Sunday. In either jig or clouser patterns. Of course it would really help to have a fly rod. ; ) but if you can throw a jig, something light weight out into the current and let the current swing it down stream. The fish are taking it on the drop. The guys stripping and adding a lot of movement to their jigs aren't catching as much fish. Remember this is last week info but I hope it helps. Good luck. trythisonemv 1
Members 6lbstest Posted April 12, 2017 Members Posted April 12, 2017 Yeah that is spot on, chartreuse is the color tail I was using on my rooster tail, and slow retrieve, and it was all that would work for me. trythisonemv and ehertz 2

Pretty much nailed the pattern. . . let the current do the work. If you worked it at all it was a snap jig at the end of the swing. Had some follow it all the way to me so they should be getting more aggressive with the warm up. Little more rain and its on.
