Johnsfolly Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I have a question about the form. I am a, Banded Pygmy Sunfish, How do the names get assigned? Redshad - If you haven't sent a PM to Phil, I don't know how the species order is set-up but you change species on the number of posts you submit. I believe that change occurs every ten posts. The number of dots under the species name indicates the number of total posts. One dot few posts - five dots over 1000 posts. If you want to change your title, you can go into your profile and edit your member title. redshad 1
Hammer time Posted March 24, 2017 Author Posted March 24, 2017 Thanks Zara! I didn't want to be a pygmy sunfish for life. I agree Hammer this weekend could be good. I hope it is not to stormy Saturday. I am not a big fan of lighting around with me standing on a deck swinging a 7ft lighting rod. I will fish around the storms but try to take cover if the bad stuff come in. Better to be safe than sorry. I was fishing a tournament when I lived in Texas and two boys got killed by lighting during the tournament. They were sitting in the running seats not on the decks but it got both of them. They found their boat stuck in the trees after the storm. We had taken shelter in a little café right off the water. Sorry to learn about those fellows that died during a storm. I will always find shelter or simply hit the bank and get off the water if lighting is in the area. If there is no lightning, some of my best days have come on nasty rainy windy days! I remember one time about 15 years ago my buddy Joe and I were pounding em during a rain and lightning moved in. I put the boat on the bank in Chicken Rock, we stayed on the bank huddled together for over a hour until lightning move through. The rain let up a little, we resumed fishing and it was phenomenal fishing the rest of the day, Glory trip! redshad 1
Flysmallie Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 When I was 16 my uncle was killed by lightning on Texoma. He was actually loading up and heading for the house. It's not worth the risk. redshad and Hammer time 2
