10pointer Posted April 11, 2007 Posted April 11, 2007 in environmental biology class we learned that a rediculous amount of medincines we use ( i think like 75%+ come from plants in the rainforests) CC you are right...the big drug companies live off of the rainforest...once the plants are gone the med supplys will dry up! Not to mention that its not totally inconcievable that almost every disease can be lessened or eliminated by what we havent discovered in the rainforests.
Members vince Posted April 11, 2007 Members Posted April 11, 2007 Friday april 6 I walked most of the day and found @130 morels all sizes and colors. They were on the verge of being too dry, I soaked them and they were in fine shape. I found them a few miles north of mountain grove MO. I imagine they came up before the cold weather. Most were around sycamores and ash .
Members bowfin47 Posted April 13, 2007 Members Posted April 13, 2007 Dam! We an't got no morels in Louisiana! This is the only state in the continental US where morels are not found. Just another reason to head north for vacation.
