LittleRedFisherman Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Man I want one, of course the price is what's holding me back. For current river that 112 thrust would be handy at times. Not sure bout 3 batteries in a 60/40 tho? The 80 is good 90 percent of the time. I'm thinking I could easily handle the current with the pedal while setting in my millennium seat on the front! grizwilson and Mitch f 2 There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
grizwilson Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Bret I have the 80 lbe 12/24 Terrova on my 20' Champion, it holds me in as heavy of wind that I can fish, pretty good white caps on lake. Wish I had the ultrex much more maneuverable in tight spots . Think the 80 will be plenty on your Blazer. The only issue on rivers I have had with the Terrova is if the wind is blowing opposite of the current it will sometimes get confused trying to hold position. Do not want to be without spot lock, good stuff. LittleRedFisherman 1 “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
Mitch f Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I would say this spot lock is an unbelievable tool. I would love to get one some day LittleRedFisherman 1 "Honor is a man's gift to himself" Rob Roy McGregor
LittleRedFisherman Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Richard cross has the ulterra in his topwater. He used spot lock round some shoals so we could hammer some trout Very impressive. He was able to fish slot better not haveinf to fight the Moter. With the edge I got in full thurst it will ha e to much tourqe on the pedal when trying to Moter up again some current river current. That hybrid feature with the cable pedal but electric assist I think would rock in a river situation! Les they claim they have tweaked the spot lock feature to be even better now? Like to see if anyone has an ultrex on a river situation yet. The price limits a lot of us I know on this deal when you can get the edge for 500 bucks There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
LittleRedFisherman Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Also haven't measured but think I have a 60 inch shaft in my edge. Think a 45 be perfect for a blazer? There's no such thing, as a bad day fishing!
grizwilson Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 I have considered installing a quick detach system then could use it on the three boats.....move as needed. “If a cluttered desk is a sign, of a cluttered mind, of what then, is an empty desk a sign?”- Albert Einstein
