Fish Bork Posted April 18, 2017 Share Posted April 18, 2017 I was chosen for the archery hunt at Caney Mtn this year and went out for a little scouting Sunday afternoon. Heard a few birds and they actually called back fairly easily. Well woke up early to see thunderstorms rolling through Monday morning so I slept in and got out there around 8.... and I heard the sound of silence not a single bird in the whole refuge said a thing. Talked to a few other hunters and they heard one bird call once and I think it was the same bird. Wonder if the storm shut them up. Saw a few lone hens hoping a tom was with them but nope nada nothing. Oh well we can't all be as successful as the BilletHeads Johnsfolly, BilletHead and marcus 3 Time flies like an arrow.
