moguy1973 Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 With the weather we are having, this seems like a good time to ask what everyone wears on their boat for wet weather footwear. I have a decent Frogtoggs rain suit that keeps me for the most part dry but I don't have any good footwear to wear with them. On Stockton last weekend when it was raining I just wore some old running shoes and my feet were pretty wet as expected. What do people wear? Boots? Water shoes? Sandals? Probably a temperature dependent question too since in warmer rains in the summer sandals would probably work fine. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
Dutch Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 I don't buy any outdoor foot wear that is not gortex. I have several brands of "running shoes" and all of them are gortex.
MOPanfisher Posted April 29, 2017 Posted April 29, 2017 Like you said very weather/temperature dependent. If warm enough I will wear a pair of Teva sandals or lightweight water shoe. Basically something I can get wet with no problem. Especially when launching by myself. If it is wet weather I have been known to wear rubber boots and keep feet dry, especially if wearing a rain suit. Blll 1
