We put in today at Bolivar Landing to very high water.  Launching was easy still.  Fished a few spots towards the dam and back for 4 hours. Not a bite. Not even a nibble.  Havent been skunked on Pomme in years.  Water was around 67 for the most part. Some decent sized floaters just outside of Bolivar Landing towards the dam. It was beautiful out with slick conditions.  Fished from 4 to 8 pm.

Sorry to hear about you getting skunked. But makes me feel better lol. We put in at Wheatland about 8 and took out at 12 had one fish hit a top water in a flooded field and didn't get a hook set. We fished pretty much everything and that was it one hit.

It sure beat setting home Ranger, but atleast a nibble would have made the trip up worth it. Tourney in 2 weeks so hoping i dont stink as bad.......Humm, thats an idea. Maybe i will take a shower first. Poor fish.

I'm actually glad you posted this. Me and my little brother did some Kayak fishing Sunday afternoon to evening and then morning to mid afternoon on Monday... I caught one bass with a wacky under some flooded trees branches and then another with a top water lure Sunday. Monday was a complete wash for both of us...not even one bite. Was pretty discouraging being out in the sun near all day and not even rewarded one bite while washing flooded waters. Better than being at work still :)

Hey Green, i know the feeling. I dont think ive been skunked on Pomme in the last 20 years, so it made me want to get out soon, probably tomorrow.  Cant let the fish win this battle.

Con, water color wasnt bad considering the amount of water we got.

Of course these conditions were pretty rough. I'll be back at Pomme later this month . I'm hoping with the weird tough weather things will be be on fire around then. And no, you can't. You'll beat them!

What is the water clarity like?

Hoping to get out this weekend.

I bet it will get much clearer by then but I thought it was pretty darn murky. Guessing a lil but I'd say no more than 1-1.5 feet with my red pedal.

was everyone fishing the flooded shore? just curious if it was possible to fish the original shoreline?? and if that would even help

Skunk days are tough. I fished Sunday on Table Rock and found it very difficult in the slick water. We did not get out until 9:30 and we quit about 2. We fished good locations I have depended upon for years. Only success was Neds on the brush edge on points.

The only excitement was that we were actually checked by a Missouri DC agent.

Wow Rps.  Havent heard ofanyone getting checked on TR unless snagging season in a long time.  Good to see them out.

Hey D, we fished the original break line for 2 hours and even trolled Flicker Shads in those locations with nothing.
