My Second Gar....

I got out on the river, before the rain came, this weekend. The river has been running a little too fast when i've been this year, 1110 and 937, for my type of fishing. I guessed I sort of got skunked this time, 0 smallmouth and 0 goggle eye, but I did manage to catch some pumpkinseeds, 5 cats and one gar. This was only the second gar I have ever caught. I caught everything on a 2 inch crankbait. I did try a Livingston lure with "Electronic Baitfish Sounds", that's right a $10 lure, but I guess not one was listening. Hoping for a lower flow rate for my next trip. Released them all and had  another great day on the river.
