I was gifted either a 1949 or a 1954 Aero Craft rowboat.  The only discernable variation I have discovered is the depth.   A 1954 has a depth of 22.25 inches while a 1949 has a depth of 19 inches. I can get close to both depths on various parts of the boat so my question is,  exactly where on the boat do you measure?

Really,  because I measured first by myself.   Then later,  with help and my measurement never went over 22 inches at the very highest outside edges.   The majority of the boat was 19.  So,  i concluded it had to be the 49
