Bird Island take out

Anybody floated and taken out at Bird Island this year.  My friend went down to Bird Island last week and the place looked deserted.

It always looks deserted.   Sketchy bunch there.

Somebody needs to put a boot in MDC's rear end and get us a road to the river at Berry Bluff.    There's no reason to not have a good access there, and originally that was the plan.

Sixty years ago there was a good ford there.

Well, for a team or a tractor anyway.

It's a double edged sword really.   I know that if we had a few decent accesses on the lower Ni that the fishing wouldn't be near as good as it is.  But it's such a huge PIA to get there and fish it now that it really doesn't matter to me.
