oghfm Posted October 28, 2017 Posted October 28, 2017 Hit the water about 8 am Thursday. Already 6 boats there, but it was early and the wind hadn't picked up yet. 3 guys fishing from the bank too. Didn't start ketching any til past the pillars, but then the rodeo was on. Was using double jigs about 15 inches apart and Mr Crappie Jokers, blue-grass seemed to be their favorite. Tons of shad by the way. Marked most of em about 10 to 12 feet deep. Strolled up thru em about .3 to .4 mph and bout every 5 mins, THUMP. Had a heck of a time, best since the spring spawn. Didn't even have to worry about staying on the break, they seemed to prefer the middle of the channel. Had my limit of 15 in less than 3 hours. Nice sized too. Released them all. Don't like rubber fish(drum). At least its something to read about resembling fishing. OGHFM BilletHead, terryj1024, dan hufferd and 1 other 2 2
