Members Jigging15 Posted November 28, 2017 Members Posted November 28, 2017 Had a quick last minute trip today. Fished from 11:45 to 3 and fought the wind the whole time. Weeded through a 150 or so small fish in the 8"-10" range. We were fishing from 2' out to 8' picthing bobbers again up a creek to come up with 30 good ones. Really tested out the new Ultrex trolling motor today. SpotLock and jog feature make it so easy in the wind. Hit spot lock and cast bobbers. Then just hit the button once to move ahead 5 feet or if needed hit it 4 times and moves you ahead 20 feet. Same for left and right. Then you have the freedom to move around the boat instead of leaving your foot on the trolling motor pedal the whole time. Best investment I have made for fishing. kjackson Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 I'm thinking I better bring my boat back to town... my part of LOZ hasn't been that productive.
Members Jigging15 Posted November 30, 2017 Author Members Posted November 30, 2017 Truman is on fire. Even on the lake fishing flats like its summer time. Rigging bite is starting with the shad pushing in to the mouths of the creeks and coves.
kjackson Posted November 30, 2017 Posted November 30, 2017 I hope the fire continues after the cold snap commences. I won't be able to fish until then...which seems to be my usual situation. I always "shoulda been here last week". Jigging15 1
Basfis Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 Sincere thanks for advising there is a crappie bite. Too often you hear how it was and rarely how the crappie bite is. Was able to get out with my dad and my son and catch a mess today. Thanks man.
Members Jigging15 Posted December 11, 2017 Author Members Posted December 11, 2017 Glad we could be of a little help. Sounds like the 3 generations all got to enjoy some fishing. Congrats.
