A buddy asked me to post this.

How to get out the pivot pin to replace the yoke tube on a mini Kota edge 70

Posted

The pin is splined on one side, so beat it out with a drift punch from the opposite side.

When reinstalling... beat it in the other way so that it cuts new splines on the smooth side.  Otherwise it can vibrate out.

If you're unsure which is the splined side...it will be the side that has no taper at all (sometimes it is hard to tell and you might have to beat it a little one way or the other just to be sure).   Whatever you do, DO NOT try to beat the splines all the way through or you'll jack up the mount beyond repair.
