look for shad balls offshore in the back of major creeks in 7-12 fow. Stained water is needed. not clear. Put your back to the bank and throw a shad color crank that dives 6-8' deep .i was using a series 3 SK. This has been a very productive and reliable pattern for whites and largemouth.. good luck!

What part of the lake are you fishing? Im gonna head down one day this week. Probably Big Creek or Buck

I haven't been to big creek in a couple months but that time is getting nearer. It's close to the house and I love fishing there in January.

Got out early today for about 3 hours before the wind. the Kentuckies were all on  ned rig, bluffs shallow. Caught several. had my limit in the first 30 min. Almost every fish  was a small keeper. bellies were packed solid with craws. threw them  back.

Friday looks cold but Saturday its supposed to be in the 60s!
I know a few back coves with brush in 7-12 fow.
