Members Larry-Melea Buster Posted February 6, 2018 Members Posted February 6, 2018 On my Humminbird Helix 10 unit, I have the Lakemaster map card mid-south lakes version that includes Bull Shoals. I have the ability to change the lake level on the map by adding or decreasing feet (lake level offset) as per the daily lake level. My question is what is the default lake level on the map card? Since Bull Shoals has a fluctuating level based on the time of the year, how can I know for sure whether to add or subtract feet of water for an accurate map card reading? Here is what the USACE indicates for a lake level chart based on time of year: Today's level is at 652.59 so what would the normal pool level be to figure out how much to subtract? Jan 01 to Apr 30 659 Apr 30 to May 01 659 to 660 May 01 to May 15 660 to 662 May 15 to Jun 15 662 Jun 15 to Jul 15 662 to 661 Jul 15 to Sep 30 661 Sep 30 to Oct 01 661 to 659 Oct 01 to Dec 31 659

If you got it years ago and haven't updated then Ham's number would be correct. If it's recent(within last couple years) then the normal pool numbers are in the data you posted above.

I think the best way to be sure of accuracy is to just zoom into the lake, find what the contour line my map shows reletive to the boat position, look at actual depth, do the math and make the adjustment. Should take all the guess work out.
