Members MNwalleyeWannabe Posted February 7, 2018 Members Posted February 7, 2018 Hello All, I stumbled across this forum while researching places to fish walleye in the beautiful state of Missouri. I haven't participated in any forums prior to this but have read plenty. I was excited to see how cordial the Ozark Anglers forum was and decided to dive in. Hopefully, I'll be able to avoid ice fishing in Minnesota and be headed south with the boat in the early spring each year. Tight lines everybody!
rps Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Welcome. I live on Table Rock, the other lake that straddles the Missouri and Arkansas border. Our lakes support walleye and small mouth because our lakes are dammed, highland reservoirs. You may need a year or three to intregrate!
Terrierman Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 There were a lot of Vikings fans in Port A last month. They found warmer weather for certain but had to settle for redfish, speckled trout and sheephead. No walleye. None.
Basfis Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 Prepare yourself for no vegetation in the lakes. Plenty of rocks.
Gavin Posted February 7, 2018 Posted February 7, 2018 See lots of MI & MN plates on our trout waters in the winter time. Plenty of fish to catch, come on down.
Members MNwalleyeWannabe Posted February 7, 2018 Author Members Posted February 7, 2018 Thanks for the hospitality guys. If you see a big red Lake Assualt tiller boat intruding on your waters, come on over and say hello.
MickinMO Posted February 20, 2018 Posted February 20, 2018 Welcome. There are many lakes that walleye do well on. I am a homer for Stockton in the early spring and even drifting the flats in summer
