I love purple on jerkbaits for some reason. Purple Passion is a phenomenal color from megabass (it only comes in the slow floating jerkbait). I have found that shad patterns don't work that great for me for some reason. I also like colors that have a subtle orange on the belly.

I bet most of you miss this or just don't get it but everything you need to know about color on Stockton is right here. Outside of jigs, plastics this is it.

Jigs dont work on Stockton. Thats a TR bait. Better stick to 8" swimbaits up here.

Here are some words from an old guy...........................

What color Jerk Bait is best??????  The one you are fishing with...................

Only stipulation might be flashy ones on clear day and clear water, dull or natural colors on other days/ water.

I have seen the Rebel Tennessee Shad pattern make fools of other fishermen in the boat,

I have seen the Clown Rogue pattern make fools of other fishermen in the boat,

I have seen the Black/Silver or Blue/Silver make fools of other fishermen in the boat.

I have seen the $30 Jerk baits make fools of a lot of other Fishermen ( for buying them that is............)

Just look at the sky, look at the water, and make a good decision. Then fish them in many different ways until you find what they want.
